SaferStops by MFR Consultants is an acoustic gunshot recognition technology with one unique mission: Helping Departments identify and respond to gunshot incidents.
When faced with sudden gunfire, Officers are often unable to communicate distress. SaferStops is trained with a machine learning algorithm specifically designed to detect gunshots.
How it works...
With SaferStops, police are alerted to the exact location of the gunshot as it happens, allowing for more rapid and potentially life-saving medical attention while reducing the possibility of escape for the shooter.

Step 1: Recognize
- Placed in a police vehicle, our hardware device is trained to listen for and recognize gunshots.
Step 2: React
- Integrated with existing vehicle satellite, our software notifies dispatch once a gunshot is detected and identifies the location of the gunshot down to a three-foot radius.
Step 3: Respond
- Downloaded by Officers, our mobile application notifies Officers in the surrounding area of a gunshot while allowing Officers on the scene to signal a false positive.
